POWERADE FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

ALLISON LESLIE, WRESTLING

Leslie, a fourth-year wrestler from Fergus, Ont. won the women’s 67 kilogram weight class at this past weekend’s CIS Wrestling Championships, held at Lakehead University. She won four straight matches to clinch the gold medal and was in one of the toughest weight classes as the CIS Championships. For her gold medal performance she was named a First-Team All-Canadian. This was her first CIS gold in four years of wrestling at the University of Guelph.
