Daniel Ferraro, a third-year Psychology student (Mississauga, Ont.) is this week's Gryphon male athlete of the week following an outstanding game in the Gryphons 24-23 win over the Windsor Lancers on Monday at Alumni Stadium. The 5-foot-8 kicker/punter was 3-for-4 on field goals, including kicking the game winning 17-yarder with eight seconds left in the contest. After an injury to starting kicker, Julian Tropea last week, Ferraro stepped up for the team and completed both punting and kicking duties. He averaged 39.6 yards per punt on 12 punts and averaged an impressive 64.8 yards per kickoff, keeping the Lancers pinned deep in their own territory. The Gryphons sit out for their bye week this weekend and are back in action on September 14th against the Toronto Varsity Blues in Toronto.
