GUELPH, Ont. – On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, Ontario University Athletics (OUA) released the 2024-25 schedules for men's and women's basketball. The Guelph Gryphons women's and men's varsity basketball teams will feature in the lone game on the OUA schedule on Thursday, October 24 when they tip off the new season of university hoops in St. Catharines against the Brock Badgers at Bob Davis Gymnasium.

The Gryphons first OUA regular season game at the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre will take place two days later, on Saturday, October 26, 2024, when the Queen's Gaels, reigning OUA champions on the men's side and OUA silver medalists on the women's side a season ago, visit Guelph for the Gryphons 2024-25 home opener.
In total, the Guelph Gryphons women's and men's basketball teams will once again play a 22-game regular season schedule, with the 2024-25 OUA basketball playoffs set to begin February 19, 2025. The 2024-25 OUA basketball season will culminate on Saturday, March 8, 2024 with the playing of the OUA's Critelli Cup (women's OUA title game) and Wilson Cup (men's OUA title game). 18 universities from across Ontario will be vying for a spot at nationals in Vancouver, with the UBC Thunderbirds set to host the U SPORTS Final 8 Championships, on both the men's and women's sides, in March of 2025.
