Fifth-year midfielder,
Mitchell Ogilvie, ends his Gryphon career with CUFLA West Division All-Canadian honours after another dominant season for the Gryphs. Despite having only played 7 regular season games this year, the 2021 CUFLA MVP, finished 5th in team scoring with 7 goals and 6 assists on the season. The Peterborough native, while a force on the field tallying 13 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers, was most important as the leader of the Gryphons. Ogilvie's leadership and presence on the field, especially on defence, were significant factors in his perennial success. Leading the way for the Gryphons all season long on defense was longstick defenseman
Hunter Aggus. A dominant force on defense, the second-year Hamilton native, always matched up against the opponent's primary attackman. Over the course of the season, he limited his opponents to just 5 goals and 2 assists while recording 11 ground balls and 8 turnovers caused to earn him CUFLA All-Canadian honours. On attack, the Gryphons' leading scorer and Arthur, Ontario native in his second year with the Gryphs was
Jabe Verbeek. Boasting 17 goals and 7 assists this season, Verbeek finished 12th in the league in scoring and the Gryphons only player in the top 25 in scoring. Assisting the offence was midfielder
Jordan Ackie. A face-off specialist, Ackie finds himself on the CUFLA All-Canadian list after going 51 for 75 on draws in 8 regular season games, boasting a 68% win percentage. The third-year accounting major also recorded 35 ground balls while adding 3 goals and an assist. Rounding out the 2022 Gryphon CUFLA All-Canadians is goalie
Cameron MacLeod. One of the best goaltenders in the country, MacLeod faced 105 shots in 8 games, stopping a whopping 70.5%. While his save percentage is exceptionally high and commands a great deal of attention, the fifth-year Georgetown, Ontario native's passing skills cannot be overlooked.
