Hinchliffe has already proven herself to be a clutch player in her young OUA career. The Guelph native was a catalyst down the stretch of the Gryphons' championship season in 2017 and she has picked up right where she left off in 2018. In Guelph's first match of the week at York, Hinchliffe secured an important point with a huge goal in the 77^th minute that helped her side leave with a 1-1 draw. And she almost won it in the late stages of the match, though her powerful strike was saved by the Lions' keeper. The Human Kinetics major kept her scoring pace going Sunday against Laurier, netting the only goal of a 1-0 match after getting sprung in the area and finishing with her left foot. Hinchliffe has scored three times in four matches, while also showing the versatility and maturity of a top-tier player.

"Victoria is a really hard-working athlete in her ability to change the style of the game that she plays," head coach Shayne Campbell said of his reliable forward. "She's really open to working on different aspects of her game. The other 10 players on the pitch have to work together in order to create those moments. We're not based around one player. But having Victoria score goals early and be confident is a really good thing for us. We're very pleased with the adaptations she's made to her game and she continues to grow every week. I'm really proud of her efforts."
