Anderson, who majors in Animal Biology, finished first in the 50 metre breaststroke with a Finals Time of 34.14 to beat out Western's Emily Manka (34.44) and fellow Gryphon rookie Jessica Bell (35.63). In the Women's 200 metre breaststroke, Anderson was once again atop the podium thanks to Finals Time of 2:39.18 which placed her ahead of a pair of Western swimmers. Samantha would cap off an impressive day by also placing second in the Women's 100 metre breaststroke where she posted a time of 1:14.71. At just 18-years-old, the future looks bright for the native of Aurora, Ontario as she and her Gryphon teammates will now get set to defending home turf when they host the Guelph Invitational on Sunday, January 10.
