Olivia Lane netted her 13th goal of the year to give the Gryphons a 2-0 lead at the half.
After missing several weeks of action due to an illness, Gryphon rookie
Emily Hong (Burlington, ON) announced her return to the lineup by scoring in the 45th minute.
Katherine MacMillan, the OUA's second-leading scorer behind only her teammate Olivia Lane, would cap the scoring with her 11th goal of the season as the Gryphons cruised to the 4-0 victory.
Up next for the Gryphons is a battle for first place in the OUA standings as they will travel to Toronto on Thursday, October 20th to take on the Varsity Blues. The Gryphons currently sit just two points ahead of U of T, but the Blues have a game-in-hand. The winner of next Thursday's battle will take a big step towards securing top spot in the OUA standings. When the two rivals met earlier this season, it was the Gryphons who were able to come away with a 4-3 victory back on September 24th.
