Box Score Toronto, Ont. - The Gryphon mens volleyball team lost in straight sets to the Ryerson Rams Friday (Oct. 17) in what was the regular season opener for both teams. Fifth year captain Patrick Strzalkowski (St. Catherines, Ont.) led the Gryphons with a teamn-high eight kills while fellow senior Marc Wilson (Stratford, Ont.) was close behind with seven. Wilson also finished with three stuff blocks while rookie Zachary Newman (Kitchener, Ont.) showed some promise with six kills and a service ace in his OUA debut. The Gryphons will look to bounce back from this loss when they return home to take on Nipissing on Friday (Oct. 24).
