Gryphons Men's Volleyball: Killian Donovan Named U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian

WINDSOR, Ont. – The U SPORTS All-Canadians and major award winners in men's volleyball were announced on Wednesday night (March 11) in Windsor at the 2026 U SPORTS Men's Volleyball All-Canadian Awards. Killian Donovan, a second-year management major at the University of Guelph and outside hitter on the Gryphons men's volleyball team, was named a U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian following a sensational sophomore season.
Killian Donovan vs Trent
Killian Donovan has emerged as one of the country's premier attackers and has been named a U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian, marking the first time in his brief collegiate career he has been recognized at the national level. Donovan, a second-year outside hitter, was one of the main focal points in the Gryphon attack all season long. The Sydney, Australia native started in all 20 of his team's regular season games, leading the OUA with 286 kills, was second in conference with 339.5 total points while receiving plenty of service with 680 total attacks. Donovan was also a weapon on the service line for the Gryphons as he was 5th in the OUA with 28 aces. The management major at the U of G has scored over 20 points in six of his matches this season, including recording a season-best 22 points on two occasions. In his team's four-set win over the Windsor Lancers on November 29, Donovan reached the 22-point mark, scoring a season-high 22 kills. He reached the 22-point mark again against the TMU Bold on January 31 when he had 21 kills on a season-best .450 hitting percentage in his team's four-set win. Donovan becomes the eighth Gryphon in program history to be named an All-Canadian and first since Johnny Pickett (2023-24).
