Gryphons fall in 3 straight to Queens


GUELPH – The Guelph Gryphon men's volleyball team were overwhelmed tonight by the Queens Gaels dropping three straight sets.  Set scores were 25-16, 25-19, 25-15.
 
The Gryphons fall to 0-4 and will be looking for their first regular season win tomorrow night as they host the RMC Paladins at 8:00 p.m. in the Mitchell Centre.  Queens advances to 4-1 on the season. 
 
Errors were the difference tonight in this game as the Gryphons committed 24 errors to Queens 13. The Gryphons had a hard time with Queens leading scorer Mike Tomlinson who led all scorers with 16 points including a game high scoring 12 kills while his teammate Phillipe Goyer chipped in with 10 kills.
 
The Gryphons were led by Marc Wilson and Patrick Strazalkowski who each contributed 7 points on the night.
