GUELPH, Ont. – On Thursday, May 22, 2025, Ontario University Athletics (OUA) released the 2025-26 schedules for men's and women's soccer. The Guelph Gryphons women's and men's varsity soccer teams will officially get their 2025 campaigns underway on Friday, August 29, 2025 when they host the Windsor Lancers in their 2025 OUA regular season openers.
The 2025 university soccer season will once again consist of a 12-game regular season schedule, with regular season play wrapping up on October 10 when the Gryphons host the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks. The OUA men's and women's soccer playoffs kickoff on Saturday, October 15, with conference play culminating on Saturday, November 1 with the playing of the OUA men's and women's championship finals. The Gryphons will be compete against 18 other universities from across Ontario for provincial bragging rights, with the 2025 U SPORTS national championship tournaments set to take place in Ontario, with the women's nationals hosted by McMaster University in Hamilton, and the men's nationals hosted by the University of Toronto. Both national championship tournaments will take place November 6-9, 2025. The Gryphons women's soccer team, OUA champions in 2017, will take the field this fall in pursuit of the second OUA title in program history, while the U of G men, OUA champions in 2021, 2016 and 1990, head into the 2025 season in search of the fourth conference title in program history.
