WINDSOR, ON - The University of Guelph women's volleyball team got their first win of the season with a 3-1 road decision against the Windsor Lancers Saturday afternoon.

Set scores were 25-19, 15-25, 25-22 & 25-21.

In the first set, the teams traded the lead a number of times early on, but an 8-0 Guelph run just after the technical timeout allowed them to win 25-19. In set 2, Windsor led early and then used a 4-0 run later to take control of the set winning 25-15. The third set saw the teams battle early on with the Gryphons leading 16-13 at the timeout. Guelph led 22-18 late before Windsor narrowed the gap to a single point. Guelph regrouped and found enough to win 25-22. Maddie DeDecker was stellar offensively with 19 points (18 kills, 1 ace) followed by Libby Donevan with 13 (8 kills, 1 ace, 4 blocks) and Laura Duncan with 12 (9 kills, 2 aces 1 block).
