Guelph 85 – Laurentian 69
 
Sudbury, Ont. – Sparked by 20 points off the bench from Jack Beatty, the Gryphon men's basketball team took down the Laurentian Voyageurs 85-69 Friday night in Sudbury.  With the win, the Gryphons improve to 3-3 on the season while Laurentian falls to 2-4.
 
Beatty attacked the rim time and time again and finished the night a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line.  Beatty's 20 points are a personal season-high, and were part of great all around performance from the fourth year guard.  Beatty (Woodstock, Ont.) racked up 10 rebounds on the night and was also two of three from three point land.  Trevor Thompson (17 points) and Michel Clark (14 points) also had productive nights as the Gryphons feature five players who scored in double figures.
 
The Gryphons will be in action again on Sunday night when they take on Nipissing at 8pm.
