Gryphons win third straight OUA Bronze

 Guelph, Ont. – The Guelph Gryphons men's rugby team defeated the McMaster Marauders 26-22 on Friday night to defend their OUA bronze medal. With the win the Gryphons earned their third straight OUA bronze finish.
 
The game was halted early when the ambulance was called to take a McMaster player with a suspected concussion to the hospital as a pre-caution. The player did not return to the field but was reportedly okay.
 
As the game got started again both teams offence clicked. All points in the contest were scored in the first half of the contest.
 
The Gryphons offence was lead by the team's leading scorer this season Joe Newman. The fullback once again led his team with a total of 11 points scoring one try and three converts. Adam Maahs tallied two tries while Bryce Boville had one.
 
On the Marauder side their team was also led by three players in scoring. Christopher Gordon scored 10 points to lead his team with two tries. Christopher Woodhead had a try while Andrew Ferguson kicked three converts in the loss for the Marauders.
