MARK DURIGON, FOOTBALL

Mark Durigon of Rockwood, Ont., played a major role in the 21-15 Gryphon win over the defending national champion Queens Gaels on Saturday to remain undefeated in the OUA. The third-year defensive back pulled in two interceptions (his third and fourth of the season) to lead the Gryphon defensive backfield that continues to pull down opposition passes. The Business major has tallied at least one interception a game through five conference games, dating back to October 17, 2009 against Laurier. Guelph hopes to carry the momentum into their Homecoming game against the Western Mustangs this Saturday (Sept. 25) at 1:00 p.m. in Alumni Stadium.
