POWERADE FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

RACHEL CLIFF, TRACK & FIELD

In the final meet of her Gryphon career, fifth-year Rachel Cliff of Vancouver, BC captured both the 1500 and 3000 metres at the CIS Track & Field Championships this past weekend.  She won the 3000 metres in a time of 9:38.52, leading four Gryphons into the top five.  She came back the next day to lead the Gryphons to a podium sweep in the 1500 in a time of 4:28.58. Her efforts also propelled the Gryphon team to a silver medal finish. Rachel graduates as a three time CIS individual champion, six time CIS team champion, with 5 CIS individual medals and an incredible 9 All-Canadian awards.
