Women's Powerade Athlete of the Week

BRIENNE STAIRS, FIELD HOCKEY

Brienne Stairs, a fourth-year member of the Gryphon Field Hockey Team from Kitchener, Ont. recorded seven goals in two days this past weekend to lead her Gryphons over the Carleton Ravens and York Lions. On Saturday, Stairs tallied four goals to lead the Gryphons in a 7-0 rout over the Ravens. The next day she netted a hat-trick as the Gryphons finished the regular season with a 5-1 win over York and a 13-1 regular season record. Stairs has finished the season with 32 goals to lead the OUA in individual scoring and marks the most goals ever scored in a season for the Gryphons. Over her career she has accumulated an astonishing 87 goals in OUA league play
