BRITT BENN, WOMEN’S RUGBY

Third-year Britt Benn of Napanee, Ont. from the Gryphon women’s rugby team was a dominant point scorer in the 84-0 thrashing of the Western Mustangs this past Saturday. Benn, playing fly-half for only the second time for the Guelph Gryphons, sliced through the Western defence for three tries. She also slotted through seven converts for a total of 29 points in the game. When she wasn't scoring she was kicking Guelph into excellent field position and setting up her teammates for the other 55 points. The Gryphons advanced to 3-0 on the season.
