2011-12 Women's Ice Hockey Roster
Biography
The Gryphons are looking for Erin to build on an
outstanding rookie year in which she finished second
on the team in scoring with 22 points and was named
to the OUA All-Rookie Team. She is a speedy
forward who brings energy and pace to every game.
She is a natural playmaker, who also has a scoring
touch of her own. The coaching staff can count on
Erin to get up for big games and not be intimidated by
the other elite teams in the league.
2007-08: Erin made an immediate impact with the
team in her rookie year, playing on both the powerplay
and penalty-killing units. She was second on the
hockey club in scoring with 8 goals and 14 assists on
the year. Her 22 points ranked her 17th in the OUA in
scoring. She was a clutch performer against the best
teams in the OUA. She was named OUA and CIS
Athlete of the Week in October, scoring her first career
hat trick in a 4-1 win over the Laurier Golden Hawks
and assisting on 3 goals in an 3-2 overtime win over
the Toronto Varsity Blues. She also earned an assist in
her first career playoff game, helping Guelph to
overcome the Windsor Lancers in the OUA
quarterfinal. At the end of her rookie season, she was
named to the OUA All-Rookie Team.
Pre-Guelph: Erin hails from Pickering, Ontario, and
she captained the Durham West Midget AA Lightning
team that won the Provincial Championships. She was
also captain of her high school hockey team and was
named High School Senior Athlete of the Year twice
for her achievements in hockey, basketball and soccer.
