Athlete Registration Portal
Any student athlete wanting to tryout for a University of Guelph varsity team must complete the Athlete Registration Portal (information below).
The website is gryphons.athletesystems.ca
This screen will appear:

Student athletes will then login using single sign on (ie. their University of Guelph central ID and password).
Once logged in, select REGISTER

NOTE: If you are a dual sport athlete (ie. Men’s Cross Country AND Men’s Track and Field), you will need to complete a separate registration for each sport – however, please note that your initial responses will pre populate when you go to do the registration for your second sport to save you time.
This will bring up, “Start a new registration” and select your Sport from the dropdown list provided

If you do not complete your registration, you can come back at another time, and you would select the highlighted link under Continue a registration in 2022-23 (see example above).
There are 7 steps to complete your registration:
- Personal Information
- Academic Information
- Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) – Registration Key is NOT currently active for NEW students, however returning students are able to complete at this time
- Education
- Student Athlete Code of Conduct
- Concussion Education
- Principle of Belonging: Anti Oppression and Anti-Racism
- Sexual Violence Support Module
- Medication
- Consent
- Liability Waiver
- Confirmation
For the education pieces, copies of your completed certificates will be required to be uploaded at a later date. More details will be sent at that time.
The next stage of the Athlete Registration process is complete of the Medical Questionnaire through Student Health Services – there will be an initial delay in receiving these questionnaires until July 12th, however after the July 12th date, medical questionnaires can be expected within 72 hours of completion of the Athlete Registration portal.
