CAREER
2013: Started at middle linebacker for a total of four games out of the five games played in his third season with the Gryphons…Rush managed 18 solo tackles, with 16 assisted for a total of 26 tackles on the season.
AWARDS: Week 1 Gryphon Defensive Player of the Week
2012: Moved to middle linebacker and started seven games in his second season with the Gryphons…led the defence with 55 total tackles with 7.5 for a combined 21 lost yards…recorded 4.5 sacks for a loss of 17 yards, two interceptions and one broken up pass.
Playoffs: Started in the overtime 42-39 Semi Final win over the Queen’s Gaels and recorded 11.5 total tackles, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery…..Started in the 30-13 loss to the McMaster Marauders in the Yates Cup Final and recorded nine tackles.
AWARDS: OUA Second Team Defensive All-Star…..OUA Defensive Athlete of the Week (Sept. 10)….Week 2 & 6 Gryphon Defensive Player of the Week.
2011: Started eight game in his first season with the Gryphons… recorded 32 total tackles… recorded three tackles for a loss, with one sack… recorded one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
