GUELPH, Ont. - Friday night (Aug. 29) at the Gryphon Soccer Complex, the Gryphons men's soccer team shared the points with the visiting Windsor Lancers in a tightly-contested and hard-fought season-opening matchup between OUA West Division rivals which ultimately ended in a scoreless draw. A physical affair, which featured six yellow cards, saw neither team able to crack the opposing defences to get on the scoresheet to start the 2025 OUA men's soccer regular season. Gryphons fourth-year goalkeeper, Carter Robart, earned the clean sheet while receiving plenty of strong play in front of him from the Gryphons back line. 

The Gryphons (0-0-1) will now head to Windsor on Sunday for the return leg of the home-and-home matchup with the Lancers (0-0-1). Game time on Sunday afternoon in Windsor is set for 3:15pm, with the game available to stream live online at www.oua.tv.
