GUELPH, Ont. – On Saturday night (Feb. 15) at the Gryphon Centre, the University of Guelph men's hockey team finished up their regular season with a 3-0 loss to the Ottawa Gee-Gees. The Gryphons end the 2024-25 season with a 12-15-1 record.

Colton Incze all recognized before puck drop. Guelph was looking to end their season on a positive note following their heartbreaking overtime loss to Brock which officially eliminated them from the postseason contention.
After a scoreless opening period, the first goal of the game would come at the 5:12 mark of the second period as Ottawa would breakthrough with a power play goal from Charles-Antoine Roy to give the visitors the 1-0 lead. With the Gee-Gees still holding onto a slim 1-0 lead, the next goal would be vital as the Gryphons were searching for the equalizer. However, Ottawa would break the Gryphon resistance at the 13:12 mark of the third period when Bradley Chenier was spung free on a breakaway and scored to give the visitors a 2-0 lead. Nicolas Kingsbury-Fournier added an empty netter to seal the 3-0 win for Ottawa. The Gryphons were unable to solve Jean-Philippe Tourigny throughout the night as he stopped 19 shots in the win.
Colton Incze, the senior netminder of the Gryphons did a great job keeping his team in the game in his final start with the team, making 32 saves on 34 shots.
