GUELPH, Ont. - Saturday afternoon (Sept. 21, 2024) at the University of Guelph's Varsity Field, the U SPORTS No. 1-ranked Queen's Gaels edged the No. 2-ranked Gryphons women's rugby team in the marquee matchup of the 2024 OUA women's rugby season. The Gryphons got off to a strong start, jumping out to a 24-7 lead over the Gaels, with sisters Brooklynn and Kennedy Feasby scoring tries in the 3' and 13' minute, respectively. Natalie Armatage and Addy Holmes also recorded tries in Guelph impressive opening half of play to give the Gryphons a 17-point lead. But the top-ranked Gaels would storm back late, with the defending OUA champions ending the game with 24 unanswered points to escape Guelph with a hard-fought 31-24 victory. With the result, Queen's improves to 4-0 on the season, while the Gryphons fall to 3-1. 

The Gryphons will still have two games remaining in their 2024 OUA regular season schedule (Sept. 29 at Laurier, October 5 vs Waterloo).
