GUELPH, Ont. – Sunday afternoon at the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre, the Gryphons men's basketball team suffered a 90-39 loss to the 13-time national champion Carleton Ravens.
The Ravens (10-0) led 50-16 at the half and 73-30 after three quarters of play while shooting 53.7% from the floor as a team. Five different Ravens scored in double figures while the Gryphons were led by rookie
Malcolm Glanville (12 points).
Both teams will now break for exams and holidays before resuming their OUA regular season schedules in early January. The Ravens will square off against the Ryerson Rams on January 5 in Toronto in a matchup of a pair of 10-0 teams. The Gryphons meanwhile will head to Montreal for an exhibition tournament (Dec. 28-30) where they will face McGill, Brandon and UQAM before resuming their regular season schedule on Jan. 4 vs Lakehead.
