TORONTO, Ont. – Saturday nigh at the University of Toronto, the Guelph Gryphons men's basketball team suffered a 99-92 loss to the Varsity Blues. The high-scoring affair saw the Gryphons score a season-high 92 points and receive a pair of standout performances, with third-year forward Banky Alade pouring in 26 points and 11 rebounds, while Gryphon rookie Malcolm Glanville added 25 points.

In the end, the Gryphons weren't able to get the stops they needed defensively, with U of T shooting 51.7% from the floor as a team. The Varsity Blues were led by third-year guard Evan Shadkami (Chicago, IL) who scored 22 points for the host Blues, including nine straight points early in the fourth quarter to put U of T in control.
