Daniel Dooley scored 17 points on an efficient 6-9 shooting (2-2 from 3-pt).
The Gryphons dug themselves an early hole as the Gee-Gees stormed out of the gates with a 14-2 run to start the game. The Gryphons committed 11 turnovers in the opening half, compared to just 2 by Ottawa, and found themselves trailing by 13 at the break.
The Ottawa lead would grow in the 3rd quarter thanks to a 13-6 run midway through the quarter. The Gryphons, who shot the ball well on the night as a team (43% from the field, 50% from beyond) would pour in 28 points in the final quarter. The Gee-Gees had four players score in double figures, led by Brody Maracle's 22 points (on 9-10 shooting).
Saturday night's game marked the final game in a stretch of four straight road games to start the season for the Gryphons, who will now return home to face the York Lions on Wednesday (Nov. 8).
