WHKY: Gryphons Fall 5-1 to Boston College Eagles

Boston, Massachusetts - Friday night at Boston University, the Gryphons Women's Hockey team lost 5-1 to the Boston College Eagles. With the loss, the Gryphons fall to 2-3 this preseason. Christine Grant was the lone goal scorer for the Gryphons.
Friday night's matchup was always going to be tough test for the Gryphons. The Boston College Eagles Women's Hockey team is coached by former Olympic gold medalist Katie King and boast plenty of talent from top to bottom on their roster. Last season, B.C. were conference finalists and advanced to the NCAA Tournament (Frozen Four) where they lost to Harvard. Things won't get any easier from here for the Gryphons as they will wrap up their 3-game NCAA preseason road trip on Saturday with a matchup against the Boston University Terriers. Last season, the Terriers won their conference tournament championship by beating Boston College 4-1.
