After an almost two week layoff, with their last game coming on November 1, the well-rested Gryphons were able to jump out to a 1-0 lead just over five minutes into the opening period on a goal from rookie centre Karli Shell. In the 2nd period, the Gryphons would extend their lead to 3-0 with goals coming 1:22 apart. Kelly Gribbons and Marcie Landman each found the back of the net, and Averi Nooren capped the 2nd period scoring with her team-leading 7th of the season, this one being of the short-handed variety. Nooren is currently 2nd in the CIS in goals. The Gryphons took a commanding 4-0 lead to the final period.
Just 30 seconds into the 3rd, Christine Grant scored to make it 4-0 with Jessica Pinkerton assisting on the goal. Grant, a fourth year forward, was one of three veterans to score in the final period as Kelly Gribbons and Jessica Pinkerton would cap the scoring in a dominating 7-0 victory for the Gryphons.
Nooren finished with a three point night (1 G, 2 A). Other Gryphons with multi-point nights were Gribbons (2 G), Landman (1 G, 1 A), Brittany St. James (2 A), Pinkerton (1 G, 1 A) and Shell (1 G, 1 A).
