Gryphons offence explodes in 4-0 pre-season win


Guelph (Aug. 22, 2014) – The Guelph Gryphons women's soccer team continued their pre-season action in style on Friday night as they defeated Laurentian with a 4-0 final score at the Gryphon Soccer Complex.
 
Leading the way for the Gryphons was fourth-year Courtney Whiteside of Guelph, Ont. who scored twice. Also chipping in for the Gryphons were Meredith Langston of Aurora, Ont. and Christina Strojin who each scored once in the win.
 
The Gryphons move their pre-season to the States where they will play a pair of games against Cornell and Ithaca College on Sunday (Aug. 24) and Monday (Aug. 25) respectively. The Gryphons will open conference play at home on Saturday, August 30 against the Waterloo Warriors. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. at the Gryphon Soccer Complex.
