WATERLOO – The Guelph Gryphon women's hockey team dropped a 4-1 final tonight to the CIS No. 2 Laurier Golden Hawks at Sun Life Arena in Waterloo.
The Gryphons record drops to 9-4-2 on the season, while the Hawks advance to 15-1-0.
Guelph's Erin Small (Pickering, Ont.) scored the Gryphons lone goal in the third period. Small scored the shorthanded unassisted goal at the 13-minute mark in the period. First-year goalie Brooke Siddall (Windsor, Ont.) made 19 saves for the Gryphons in the loss.
The Gryphons wrap up their first half of the season with a game against the Waterloo Warriors this Saturday, December 4 at 2:00 p.m.
