After being named Female Athlete of the Year at the University of Guelph a year ago, Kelsey has continued to shine in 2014-2015 for the Gryphons. Aside from playing a big role on the Gryphons women’s rugby team this season, Kelsey has continued to dominate on the wrestling mat and is coming off of an impressive performance this past weekend at the Guelph Open. The fifth year standout won gold at the Guelph Open, competing in the 82 kilogram weight class. This year’s Guelph Open featured an extremely tough field, with competitors from across both Canada and the United States in attendance. Despite the amount of talent in this year’s event, it was once again Kelsey who rose to the top. The defending CIS gold medalist not only won the event, she did so without a single point being scored against her.
