Second-year centre Nick Huard (North Bay, Ont.) notched five points in leading the Guelph Gryphon men’s hockey team to two big season opening wins this weekend.
 
The arts major recorded a hat trick as the Gryphons defeated UQTR on Friday night in their season opener at the Gryphon Centre. Huard notched two power play goals and the game-winner in the 5-3 victory. He followed that up the next night in Saturday’s 3-2 win over the Concordia Stingers with a goal and an assist.
