Britt Benn of Napanee, Ont. is this week’s Gryphon Female Athlete of the Week after leading her team to a national silver medal at the CIS Championships hosted this past week by St.FX.  The fifth-year centre was named the CIS player of the year at the Championships following another outstanding season.  In the Gryphons second game of the tournament to earn a spot in the Championship final Benn scored two tries in the final 15 minutes of the game to lead the Gryphons over the Alberta Panda 17-10. It was a dominant performance at Nationals for the graduating senior, who scored five tries and was named a tournament all-star.
