Amanda Parkins, Women’s Hockey
First-year Amanda Parkins of Kitchener, Ont. from the women’s hockey team is this week’s female Gryphon Athlete of the Week.  The rookie centre earned a total of five points for the Gryphons following the team’s 2-0 opening week with wins over UOIT (4-2) and York (5-1). In her OUA debut she scored a goal and two assists on Thursday night in Guelph and then on the weekend she netted a pair of goals in a 5-1 win over York.
