Three Guelph Gryphons will be representing Canada in NACRA Championship. 

Katie McNally was Guelph's Rookie of the Year for 2009 and had an exeptional season with the Gryphons at fullback.  Her speed and tackling ability makes her a huge threat to any opposition.  Morganne Linthwaite is in her 2nd year at the university Guelph and leads by example from the second row.  Her tenacious tackling provides ample opportunity for turn-over ball and her workrate is top notch. Miranda Smith although hindered with injury in her second season at Guelph has bounced back to her admirable form to play for Canada.  She is an extremely smart player and knows where to be to make the big plays.  Her size and strength makes her an formible player on the pitch. While our NSWT are in final preparation for the World Cup in England this August and September, the next generation of Canadian Women's U-20 will be busy with their own tour to Nassau, Bahamas to take part in Nacra Championship.

The 24-woman squad from all across the country will depart August 12th and play games against the Cayman Islands, USA U-20 and Caribbean Selects (players selected from remaining Caribbean Islands) before returning home on August 22nd.

The final details of the tournament schedule have yet to be finalised by the organising committee but the Canadian National Coaching staff of Jason Young and Beth Barz have announced their 24-women roster.
