The Guelph Gryphon women’s basketball team put forth a solid three quarters, but couldn't hold up the level and succumbed 70-47 to the Western Mustangs in London this afternoon (Feb. 6).

The Guelph Gryphon women’s
basketball team put forth a solid three quarters, but couldn't hold up the
level and succumbed 70-47 to the Western Mustangs in
Down only two at the half (32-30), and down nine with just over nine minutes to
go (48-39), the Gryphons collapsed defensively in the fourth quarter, allowing
seven quick transition points by the Mustangs, who successfully opened up an
insurmountable lead. Allowing too many open looks after that, the Gryphons
could not mount a counter run, and Western cruised home to the victory.

who currently sits second in the OUA scoring race led all scorers, with 21
points.
