League Structure

At the University of Guelph, we offer a wide variety of divisions to suit everyone’s
ability and comfort of play. Each sport generally offers the option of coed, men’s
or women’s which is further divided into the options of competitive or fun leagues.
Each of these leagues are then divided town into 3 different divisions, A, B, or C.
We encourage you to use your judgment to which league you will fit into to create
the best experience for everyone involved. As each league or division may or
may not have enough teams, we reserve the right to shuffle teams between
leagues and divisions.

Please read the following to help in your decision of which league and division is
right for you:

Competitive – You enjoy a competitive atmosphere and are a skilled and
knowledgeable player. Generally catered towards advanced and novice players

Fun –Your experiences in the sport are limited, or have never played before.
This experience will allow you to get out and meet people in a fun and athletic
atmosphere.

A – If you have played in your high school or other organized teams. You enjoy
the competitive nature of the sport and have an advanced knowledge of the sport
and skills involved.

B – You are an experienced athlete who enjoys being competitive, has a strong
knowledge of the sport however may not have the fine tuned skills of a starting
line up.

C – You have experience with the sport with some skills that may need
improving. This league combines the fun with the competitive with the best of
both worlds.
