IAC (Intramural Advisory Council)
Join the IAC! This volunteer association is similar to student councils that any of you were actively involved with in high school. There will be a monthly mandatory meeting. The IAC represents all intramural participants. IAC enables students to assist in the development of all Intramural Programs. Protest and Appeals
The Protest and Appeals Committee is a committee of volunteer students that act in matters of concern for the Intramural Program. They are the judicial body that deals with defaulted intramural teams, ineligible players, unsportsmanlike conduct and suspensions of individual players or teams. Meetings occur weekly (day to be determined) at 6:30 pm. To be a part of the Intramural Judicial System, please email a resume and cover letter to iplayim@uoguelph.ca.
Be an Official! Get paid to play!
Referees, officials, and monitors wanted for all sports! Please pick up applications from the Intramural Office. Pay level is determined by qualifications and previous experience. Mandatory training will be provided.
Scorekeepers and Monitors Required
Scorekeepers, Eligibility, and Monitors are needed for various sports. Please pick up applications from the Intramural Office.
Assistant Sports Facilitator
Helps train, schedule and evaluate officials for assigned sports; assist with registration; front line person for answering questions; assess and monitor equipment used in addition to making purchase requests; ensure safety of playing venues for assigned sports; administrative responsibilities include: data forms, payroll monitoring, scorecards, statistics and ensure day sheets are correct; assist with facility set-up; if required; belong to Intramural Athletic Association and Protest and Appeals Committee. This is an 8 month contract which has set office hours. Hiring is done in March.
Intramural Peer Helpers
Be an Intramural Peer Helper. Peer Helpers have been an important part of the Intramural Program for the past 3 years. They are involved in the planning of special events, helping run the Intramural Office, a voting member of the Intramural Athletics Association as well as Chair of the Protest and Appeals Committee.
