The Department of Athletics would like to inform all faculty and staff of the opportunity to purchase an Athletic Base Membership, plus a Fitness Centre Membership, FitPack Membership and ½ or Full Locker Memberships (or any combination of the four), using Payroll Deduction.

NEW in 2009/10!
We will be offering a 2/3rds size locker in the Men’s Change room! This will be available in early May 2009. As well, in the referendum to the students a new building fee has been passed and will be introduced on all Base Memberships starting in the Fall ’09 semester.

Memberships: All permanent Faculty and Staff receive a 75% subsidized Athletics Base Membership as a negotiated benefit. An Athletics Base Membership is required to purchase any of the additional Athletics Memberships listed below.

1. Fitness Centre Membership – Membership to the Fitness area including the Cardio Room and Weight Room.

2. Fitness Class Membership - Membership to as many of the Land and/or Water Classes as you choose. For a full listing and schedule of these Classes visit gryphons.ca.

3. Fitpack Membership – A Bundle Membership including both the Fitness Centre and Fitness Classes Memberships.

4. Locker Membership (1/2 or Full or the new 2/3^rd in the Men’s Changeroom) - Locker Memberships include daily towel service.

Payroll Deduction:
Billing per pay period. The number of deductions ( for memberships starting May 1) are as follows;

- 1 Semester      - 7 pay periods     - May 28 - Aug. 20
- 2 Semesters     - 15 pay periods    - May 28 - Dec. 17
- 3 Semesters     - 23 pay periods     - May 28 - Apr. 8

Determine Your Payment: To determine your payment, total the amount of memberships you would like to purchase (remember that an Athletic Base Membership is required) and divide by the number of pay periods as listed above.

For example:

3 Semester Athletic Base Membership = $184
3 Semester Fitness Centre Membership = $95
3 Semester Locker - Full = $180
Total = $459.00
Payment = $459 / 23 pay periods = ($19.96 /per pay cheque)
